The Youth Commission consists of students from Clifton Middle School, Santa Fe Middle School, Monrovia High School, Canyon Oaks High School, Independent Study and various private schools.
Students who participate on the Commission are interested in making a difference in their community and meet monthly to share program ideas and discuss issues concerning students. The Commission is involved in several exciting City-wide programs including Arbor Day, Spring Egg Hunt & Healthy Kid’s Day, Make a Difference Day and the Halloween Carnival.
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at the Monrovia Community Center, 119 West Palm Ave. and Youth Commission board meetings vary and are held at the Mary Wilcox Youth Center, 843 E. Olive Avenue (on the corner of Olive and Mountain Avenues).
This is an opportunity for youths to discuss issues concerning students, volunteer at city-wide events and to be a part of a positive, fun and challenging experience. For additional information contact the Department of Community Services at 626.256.8246.
