Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority - Construction Notice

gold_line_bus_smallContractor for the Gold Line extension project continues the utility investigations in the vicinity of the existing railroad tracks along Duarte Road and street grade-crossings. The work in preparation for the railway and street improvements affected by the rail extension project is on an as-needed basis. Notification letters to affected residents, businesses and organizations were distributed by the contractor in the vicinity of affected areas. During the period of the investigations, some traffic lanes may be temporarily closed; parking restrictions will be placed on the actual location of the work, signs will be posted in advance, and some slowdown in traffic may also occur within the affected area. Access will be maintained by the contractor for local residences and businesses including emergency situations at all times.

Expect delays during construction, and please observe traffic delineations and signs for your safety. Plan your trip accordingly, and try to avoid the scheduled work area if possible. The anticipated general work hours are from 7a.m. to 5p.m.

The following streets will be impacted by the contemplated work as stated above:

  • Duarte Road (also along the railroad tracks) from Mayflower Avenue to Mountain Avenue
  • Railroad grade-crossings at Mayflower Avenue, Magnolia Avenue, Myrtle Avenue, California Avenue, Shamrock Avenue, and Mountain Avenue
