ANIMAL CONTROL

The Monrovia Police Department operates its own Animal Control services.  Officers are trained to deal with a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to opposums, racoons, birds, snakes, chickens, rats and mice.  If you need immediate assistance from an Animal Control Officer, please call the Monrovia Police Department at (626) 256-8000.  To learn more, read below:

DOG LICENSES & FEES

All dogs are required to be licensed.  Click on Dog Licenses & Fees for more information on obtaining a license for your pet.  Renewal notices will be mailed to residents.  Rabies certificates must be valid for the entire license period.

WILD ANIMALS

INLAND VALLEY HUMANE SOCIETY

This humane society serves the City of Monrovia. Services available to animals of Monrovia residents include pet adoption, spay and neutering services, vaccainations, veternerian services, animal behaviorist staff, and public education. ADOPTED ANIMALS FROM MONROVIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Monrovia Animal Control maintains a small adoption program which keeps a select group of animals that are viable for adoption.  Each animal chosen for the adoption process is examined by a veterinarian prior to being adopted out to a family.  Click Adoption Process for more information on our program.  Help us find a loving home!
