Los Angeles County continues to see steep increases in community spread of COVID-19. Today, the public health department announced 2,002 new cases. Los Angeles County has now experienced four consecutive days of new cases over 2,000. As a community, we can protect each other by following these best health practices: wearing a cloth face covering, practicing physical distancing, and washing our hands often. You can make a big difference in slowing the spread of COVID-19.
Cloth Face Coverings are Required
Cloth face coverings increases prevention of spreading respiratory droplets when talking, sneezing, or coughing. If everyone wears a cloth face covering when out in public, such as visiting a business, the risk of exposure to COVID-19 can be reduced for the entire community.
In addition to wearing a cloth face covering when you leave your home, be sure to continue to practice physical distancing and wash your hands often.
