Audible Stories - During school closures, Audible is offering kids everywhere the ability to instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages.

Crafts From Home - Library Staff will show you how to make simple crafts from home with supplies you have around the house! You can find the videos on the Library's Facebook and Instagram pages.

Library E-Cards - Want to access ebooks on Overdrive but don't have a library card? Sign up for an e-card by visiting the library's catalog and clicking on the Sign Up button.

Library Storytimes - Librarians are sharing stories and songs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 11am on the Library's Facebook and Instagram pages.

Metropolitan Opera Nightly Series - The Met Opera is offering a free nightly series of opera productions with each performance available to stream for 24 hours.

Monrovia Library Teens - Book reviews, college & career resources, teen craft ideas, and more.

Scholastic BookFlix - Scholastic is offering families free access to their online collection of picture books and chapter books (Please use the following login information - Username: Learning20  Password: Clifford).

BOKS at Home - Games and activities to keep kids active and happy during this difficult time. Plus, they are hosting Facebook Live workouts weekdays at 12pm EST.

Canyon Park Virtual Mindful Meditation - A wonderful opportunity to begin or deepen your mindfulness meditation techniques at these live online meetings on Mondays at 7 pm.

Education & Wellness Discussions via Phone - Simply call a toll-free number to listen to a wide range of interesting discussions and programs such as: wellness, education, music reviews, and even live performances.

Guided Mindful Meditation Podcast - In this time of concern throughout the world, practicing mindfulness and meditation can be especially helpful.

Headspace Meditation App - Headspace has partnered with the LA County Dept. of Mental Health to offer the service free for LA County residents in 2020. Headspace offers access to meditations, as well as sleep and movement exercises, designed to help you care for your mind.

Kidz Love Soccer's Online Activities - Get moving with some fun activities to try when you can't make it to soccer practice. Check back each week for more activities.

Mind to Mindfulness Online Group Therapy Sessions - A series of free weekly 75 minute sessions that teach practical mindfulness skills for reducing stress and enhancing happiness.

Monrovia Community Garden - A healthy & sustainable way to share with our neighbors. Looking for quick tips? The Community Garden Team have videos posted on Instagram like a Sweet & Sour Pickle Recipe, Seed Planting, Caring for Your Tomato Plants, Planting Potatoes, and How to Grow Your Citrus Trees!

Peace Point Meditation - This local organization is offering livestreams Friday-Wednesday 7:00-7:30 PM, as well as an intro to guided meditation Sundays 9:30-11:00 AM and Thursdays 7:00-8:30 PM on YouTube and Facebook Live.

Sounds of Nature - Colorado State University has compiled recordings of nature from national parks across the country.

UCLA's Guided Meditations Series - An introduction to mindfulness meditation that you can practice on your own (available in both English & Spanish).

Adult Literacy Conversation Classes - Practice speaking English in a friendly and relaxed setting. Weekly online meetings are held Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 pm and Thursdays from 12:00-1:30 pm. Email for more information on how to join.

Arts & Minds - Museum based experiences for people with dementia and their caregivers.

Brainfuse HelpNow - On demand, anytime, anywhere eLearning. Live tutors provide Homework Help, SAT Prep, a Writing Lab, and more available 1pm-10pm PST. Also, HelpNow offers career resources and resume writing support (click on the Adult Learners tab).

California Parks Online Resources for Teachers & Students (PORTS) - PORTS offers broadcast-style Home Learning Programs for K-12 students from various park locations across California. 

Class Central - A site listing free online classes on a variety of subjects, including ones offered by top universities like Stanford, MIT, and Harvard.

Free Broadband & Wifi Access for Students - Charter is offering free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription and at any service level up to 100 Mbps.

Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA) Virtual Galleries & Videos - Online visitors can explore virtual galleries, exclusive museum notes, playlists, workshop recordings, and podcasts featuring artists from MoCADA exhibitions past and present.

National Gallery of Art Virtual Tours & Videos - The National Gallery of Art offers video tours, resources for kids and educators, as well as the Lectures in the the Fine Arts series for a deeper dive on topics.

Online Art Classes - Mission: Renaissance is offering free online art classes for kids, teens, and adults during this crisis.

PBS SoCal At-Home Learning - PBS SoCal and KCET, in partnership with LAUSD, are offering broadcast programming with digital resources that adhere to California’s state curriculum.

Child Care Funding for Essential Workers - On April 10, Governor Newsom approved funding to provide child care services for emergency and essential workers, during the COVID-19 pandemic, who meet specific income guidelines. To see if you qualify, follow this link.

COVID Family Health Forum - Senator Portantino hosted this Family Health Forum in April with local Marriage and Family Therapists who discussed the importance of mental health and how individuals, especially families, can manage stress during this period of uncertainty.

COVID-19 Hotline for California - If you’re looking for general information about state COVID-19 resources: use or call the hotline at 833-422-4255. The call center is open 8 am-8 pm Monday-Friday and 8 am-5 pm Saturday and Sunday (PST).

Crisis Text Line - Text HOME to 741741 from anywhere in the United States, anytime, about any type of crisis. A live, trained Crisis Counselor receives the text and responds, all from a secure online platform.

Critical Delivery Service - Temporary delivery program for dependent and older adults provided by L.A. County's Workforce Development, Aging, and Community Services Department.

Food Resources for L.A. County - Find food resources near you in L.A. County, including a food bank locator, student meals distribution sites, and elder nutrition information.

Friendship Line - The Friendship Line at 1-888-670-1360 is both a crisis intervention hotline and a warmline for non-emergency emotional support calls for California seniors.

Great Plates Delivered Program - L.A. County's Workforce Development is offering meal delivery to  older adults and adults at high risk from COVID-19 to stay home and stay healthy by delivering three nutritious meals a day from local businesses. To learn more and to enroll online, follow this link

L.A. County Dept. of Mental Health - The department's Get Help Now page has lots of free resources for those seeking mental health and crisis counseling. 

L.A. Metro's TOC Small Business Recovery Loan Program - Eligible Los Angeles County small businesses located within a ¼-mile of a major transit stop could receive up to $20,000 in loan funds to cover operating expenses. Loan applications can be completed here from Thursday, June 4, at 12 pm to Thursday, June 11, at 5 pm.

Monrovia Eats & Drinks Offering Curbside, Delivery, & Takeout - A list of local Monrovia restaurants, breweries, and wineries with curbside, takeout, and delivery service. Some local restaurants are also offering groceries & special discounts for first responders.

Monrovia Fire Department's PSAs & Videos - The Monrovia Fire Department's Facebook page has several videos with information on the importance of social distancing and staying at home.

Monrovia Homeless Resource Kit - The kit offers community members practical resources that outline tangible ways in which individuals can help address homelessness issues here in Monrovia.

Monrovia Unified School District Meals for Students - All of Monrovia schools will be providing free breakfast and lunch to all children in the community, ages 1 – 18, and to all adults with special needs. You may pick up the grab and go breakfast and lunch meals at the school closest to your home.

OnwardCA - One-stop resource for Californians impacted by job loss during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Pandemic-EBT for Families (P-EBT Card) - Families with children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals and who do not get their P-EBT card in the mail, must apply online before June 30. The online application is available at this link in English and at this link in Spanish.

Shepherds Pantry Food Distribution - A local food pantry with locations in Irwindale, Glendora, and Baldwin Park.

Small Business Owner's Guide to the CARES Act - To help small business owners and entrepreneurs better understand the new programs that are available to them, the Small Business Administration (SBA) has created a comprehensive guide.

State of California COVID-19 Resources - The state has various resources available on their website, including information on unemployment benefits, paid family leave,  student loan relief, and relief from financial institutions for those financially affected by COVID-19, as well as items like the California Immigrant Guide and updates on CALFRESH/CALWORKS EBT cards
