Our Jail Facility
We operate a temporary holding, Type 1 jail facility. The jail holds inmates for up to 72 hours in most cases. The jail operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and is responsible for the processing, care, and housing of all prisoners. This includes fingerprinting, photographing, feeding, issuing clothing and personal care items, and the physical monitoring of all prisoners while they are at the facility.
If you have a family member or relative that is in our jail and you would like to visit them, visiting hours are from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day of the week.
If you have a family member or relative that is no longer being housed at the Monrovia Police Department's jail and you need to locate them, you can do so through the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Inmate Information Center.

Inmate Worker Program
We run an Inmate Worker Program for individuals that have been convicted of misdemeanor crimes and have been sentenced to jail time. The court has allowed this time to be served at any local jail facility, other than the L.A. County Jail Facility. This program is a non-lockdown type, where the individual will perform cleaning, gardening, and other basic duties while in custody, with no overnight stays.
All individuals will be pre-screened prior to acceptance into the program. The cost for serving time at our facility is $70.00 per day, with a one-time $20.00 administrative processing fee. These costs are to be paid up front, or arrangements can be made with the Court Officer.
For more information, please call (626) 256-8061 and ask to speak to the Court Officer.
