  • What is happening at the event?

    There will be a DJ playing recorded music from 3 - 7p.m. followed by a concert featuring Stone Soul from 7:00 - 8:30pm. The Fireworks Show begins at 9:00 p.m. The fireworks show will last 20 minutes.

    The weekly Friday Night Family Festival will be held from 5:00 to 9:30 p.m. on Myrtle Avenue.  Spectators are encouraged to enjoy the festival throughout downtown in advance of the fireworks display.

  • Can I reserve a spot in the park?

    Spectators may reserve park space no earlier than the morning of July 4th. The reserved space can be no larger than 10x10 feet - the reserved space must be supervised at all times.

  • What time do the streets close?

    Street Closures - The streets will be closing at 4:00 p.m. on Myrtle between Foothill and Lemon, on Palm Avenue between Myrtle and Primrose, Lime Avenue between Myrtle and Primrose. At 8:00 p.m. Primrose will be closed from Palm to Lime. If your car is parked in any of these areas, please relocate it so you will not be towed.

  • Where can I park?

  • When can I sit in the street? (Myrtle, Palm or Lime)

    Spectators can sit in the street after they've been shut down at 4:00 p.m.

  • What restaurants/stores are open in Old Town?

    Refreshments
    Old Town Monrovia on Myrtle Avenue are offering a variety of food and refreshments during the event.

    Restaurants include:

  • Where are the restrooms?

    Portable restrooms are available on Lime Avenue adjacent to Planet Cookie. There will be 10 portable restrooms including 4 handicapped restrooms. The Community Center building is also open for restroom use.

  • Where are the trash receptacles?

    Please do your part to keep the park clean by disposing of all trash and recyclables in the trashcans located along the sidewalks surrounding the park. There will also be dumpsters located on Myrtle, Palm & Lime to dispose of larger trash items.

  • Can I bring Alcohol to the Event?

    Alcohol is not permitted anywhere in the park or streets surrounding the park.

  • Can I bring food/picnic in the park?

    Yes.

  • Can I BBQ in the Park?

    No BBQ's are allowed in the park.

  • Can I bring my dog to the Fireworks Show?

    Bringing dogs to the Fireworks show is not recommended, because the sound of the fireworks can scare the dogs. If you do bring your dog, make sure it is kept on a leash at all times.

  • Can I bring Fireworks?

    Fireworks are not allowed in the park, or anywhere else in the City.

  • Is there disabled parking available?

    Disabled parking will be available off of primrose between Lime and Lemon Avenues. Enter the alley way heading east and follow signs to disabled parking. Disabled parking will be on a first come first serve basis.

  • Can I set up a canopy/umbrella?

    Yes. Canopies and umbrellas may be set up/used until 7:00 p.m. and then they must be taken down.

  • Spectator Safety during Fireworks Show

    Keep your seats - All street lights will be turned off just prior to the start of the show. To ensure the safety of all spectators, please be seated no later than 8:55 p.m. and remain seated until the show is over and the street lights have been turned on.
